Tuesday 17 July - Making snakes

we are making some snakes from a pair of tights stuffed with newspaper. i cut both leggs off and we had great fun stuffing them and painting them. ( Note the gusset on Rachel's head) now they are drying and then we will add button eyes and a ribbon tongue.

Sunday 15 July - Hair, Rachel never usually let sme do her hair but today she did - I love having a girl!

Saturday 14 July - Food, a friend looked after Rachel for the afternoon and caleb slept so I got to catch up on some cooking, cleaning and washing ( veggie lasagne)

Friday 13 July - shop, Rachel went to the shop in her nurse outfit with tights on her head. It was just easier than arguing, we got some strange looks!

Thursday 12 July - Flowers, how sweet is Gavin! He send flowers for Rachel and me. He even made sure there were yellow ones, her favourite colour

Wednesday 11 July - Bourton-on-the-water, I did not take this picture, stupidly i left the camera at home, but I took my sister and the kids to Bourton and thought it deserved a mention. We had a great day, very pretty and Rachel loved feeding the ducks and birds.

Tuesday 10 July - Snot, gross yes I know but i had to take a picture of Caleb's snot incase i need to send it to my dad ( Dr) because Caleb has had a snot nose and I still phone and email Dad all medical stuff first before going to a Dr here.

Monday 9 July - Ballet, it was Rachel'swatching day at ballet so moms and dads got to come and watch instead of peering through a window from a room at the back of the hall, they were so cute it deserves a few pics

Sunday 8 July - Nurse Rachel, 'fixing' Aunty Sarah's foot

Saturday 7 July - Family Tree, nearly finished. We just need pictures of Gavin's dad and of the newest niece Zoe who is only a few weeks old

Monday 2 July - ID pictures, Caleb was asleep and not willing to wake up even if mom and dad did need photo for his passport ( these were at a photo booth, so a photo of a photo) Sunday 1 July - Umbrella, Rachel loves her new umbrella!
Saturday 30 June - So sweet, Caleb asleep on my sister's chest.
Friday 29 June - Ice-cream, the van comes around everyday and today Gavin treated Rachel to an ice-cream

Thursday - Rachel

We went to the zoo today and Rachel rode her scooter bike around most of the time, she is getting really good at it.

Wednesday - House Hunting

we have been looking for house, how depressing R3,4mil does not even get you a 3 bedroom house!

Tuesday - 'Nanny' and Rachel

Rachel has my mom running around, on the green outside our house, with her. The hide behind trees, lie on the grass, skip etc etc. Rachel has boundless energy - Mom is in need of a cup of tea when they return.

Monday - drying washing

We spend all day watching the weather and running in and out with the washing trying to get it dry. You look for a bit of blue sky like this and run out with it and then, when it looks like this...

you run out and bring it all in again.

Sunday - Yellow

Rachel's favourite colour is yellow so these were the flowers she choose for me.

Saturday - meeting Granny

My mom arrived on Saturday, it was great to see her. Here she is with Caleb for the first time.

in progress, I am trying to help Rachel understand various family relationships and how her 'Bumpa' can be my Daddy at the same time. So we are making a family tree, we made hand prints for the leaves and she painted the trunk now we need pics and extras ( an owl and a tiger - don't ask me!)

My girl on her 'scooter bike'. It is a bike without pedals which teaches kids how to balance as if they were on a real bike. Supposed to be better than a bike with training wheels - who knows i can't ride at all, but she loves it and is getting the hang of balancing herself. ( I am finally feeling better and was able to get out the house today - and not for the purpose of seeing a Dr )

these are the antibiotics i final got after being fobbed off at the hospital. I was told my acute pain was just muscular and to take some pain killers - mean while i had a raging infection!

So I know i should not have gotten my hopes up about the baby coming early, But i so wanted Gavin to be here. He leave again on Wednesday at 4am and is not back until the 20th so i am guessing he will miss his boys birth.

Gavin took Rachel to the zoo yesterday so i could sleep and relax. So i know technically i did not take this pic, but I am really greatful to him and wondering how i will manage without him after Wednesday until 20 June!
